I hear a rumor that the Christmas holiday is coming in a couple of days. I can’t be certain, but we have a tree and a bunch of gift-wrapped packages in the living room. I’m too lazy to check the calendar to be sure. Besides, I’m sure someone will wake me up in plenty of time.
Whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year, I wish you the best. Just, please, let’s drop the “All-iday” moniker. I feel like it yucks everyone’s yum. Wish me a happy Hannukah, a blessed Kwanzaa, or a wonderful Winter Solstice. Whatever your jam, spread the joy. Just don’t water everyone’s season down with a bad, commercial hashtag.
When The Long Holiday Ends
I am fortunate to be in a career that allows me a longer holiday. It is a bit reminiscent of my school days when we got a couple of weeks away from the classroom. This year, I’m taking a couple of weeks off. I have no real plans other than “to not to”. When I go back to work, I’ll be back for just a bit before taking another week off. Then, well-rested and hopefully reinvigorated, I hope to start shooting a lot more.
In the Meantime
If you’ve got a little time and want to try and sneak a shoot in before the New Year, waste no time and hit me up! Time’s a’wastin! If you want a little time to plan, please check out https://markgunterphotography.com and http://www.questionmarkphoto.com. If you would be interested in helping me break in my new camera, you can also check out my mood board. The new year promises to be busy, but I’m ready to fight for time to shoot. I’m hoping you’ll join me!
I suppose now is the right time to talk 2022 Christmas Cards and 2023 Calendars? Got to get an early start!
