Thoughts While Looking Ahead On Thanksgiving

My thoughts run rampant trying to find some sense of order to the long list of things to be thankful for today. In the end, it boils down to friends, family, and a full life.

2017 has been a year of recovery for me. I am remembering what inspires me. Things from my past which tap into my creative side are being rediscovered. I am allowing myself to make mistakes and enjoy the rewards of success. All of this and more leads me back to that place when I felt I was more than just another face. I am Mark. If I am purposeful, I can have a positive impact on this world one person at a time.

As I explore what Anything But Ordinary should be about, there is no doubt that the focus should be on people. I am not the outgoing sort, but I enjoy making positive connections with others. When we find something in common with each other, it can be a very good thing.

Recently, thanks to a TEDx video, I discovered Kalina Silverman’s Big Talk concept. It spoke to me on several levels and it inspired me to do something new. Combining a desire to improve my videography and working to push beyond my social comfort zone resulted in a return to an old idea: Interviews.

I have more thoughts on this, but let’s just dive right in. As it happens, my son was a willing victim for my first attempt.

This is a relatively simple concept but one that I am enjoying. If you would be interested in taking part, I hope you will reach out so we can make a plan.
