Overwhelmed Perhaps, For Now

Overwhelmed

I had planned to do a post sharing some photos from my latest session today, but it has been an odd week. Well, not odd so much as busy in ways I have not expected. Maybe busy isn’t the right word, either. Consider this paragraph I’m trying to put together. Perhaps overwhelmed is the word I need.

I was on a staycation last week. But, it was interrupted by a two-day, work-related training. Anyone out there carry an ITIL 4 Foundation certification? I’m working on setting up the online, proctored exam. I did a similar procedure for my Certified Professional Photographer credentials. It was not this convoluted.

Overwhelmed by Rules Lawyers

Yes, you need some “security guidelines” to keep people from cheating. I get it. But I can’t use a room with two access points measured by the number of doors in the room. So, per the party I chatted with, my home office with a door to the stairs and another into the attic? Can’t use it even though it is the most isolated place in the house. The bedroom with a closet? Maybe, but you’ll have to check with these people over here. What about a bathroom? Nope. Those are completely out, they tell me. The guidelines, do not, but they are just certain bathrooms are a test security issue.

We’ll get it figured out, but it is a needless stress. Are you testing my knowledge or my ability to prove I am not a cheater? As I write this, I have a case number so someone can figure out if I have a legitimate place to test. I’m tempted to run some lighting and a network cable into the storm shelter and ask if that will do.

Right, Let’s Wrap It Up

This is me being difficult, I guess. Once I have their blessing, I’ll set a time to take the exam. And then I’ll move on with life. It is all the other, little things that actually have me overwhelmed. To do this or maybe that? What is next on the Big List of Things I Should Do?

How about compose a post to go along with the fun images I created with a couple of models while on vacation? Yes. That will do quite nicely. In the meantime, shouldn’t you be reaching out to set up your own session?
