Always Searching For Amazing Models

Searching in Shuttermag July 2022 issue

Enough ruminating on how useless social media seems to me. I am online to create and collaborate. Let’s get back to the task of searching for models!

Searching for Collaborators

I am looking for models who inspire new ideas. Maybe you have a series of images you are longing to create. Perhaps all you have is a location or an outfit. Bring it to me! I have plenty of ideas, but I often need the right model to make it work. If you have been looking for a photographer for that hair-brained scheme you’ve been pondering, please consider me an option.

Searching for Vision, Not Revision

If you want something along the lines of an image I have already created, be open to expanding my portfolio, too. If you give me a look, location, or genre, we can usually work together to make something that works for us both. Let’s create something above and beyond what I’ve shot before.

Sunrise is Always a Win

Do you want to really grab my attention? Tell me you are willing to get up at the crack of dawn. There are few ways to start the day better than with an artistic endeavor. Get up early and join me to watch the sun creep over the horizon while we create images.

Why Work With Me

I have done a couple of art shows and provided photography services for small businesses over the years. You might stumble on occasional work on the web, credited or not. My photography has been in magazines on the bookstore shelves. At least twice as many digital magazines can be tallied, as well. As someone who does photography on the side and isn’t a fan of the social media time sink, I feel I’ve done okay.

But, street cred only goes so far. Ask the models I’ve worked with or the photographers who have known me for more than a hot second. Consider the professional development I’ve done between conferences, photography events, and my membership in the Professional Photographers of America. Or that I have taken the time to earn and maintain a professional photographer certification.

If for some reason you are reading this and are not familiar with my work, please take a moment to check it out. Mark Gunter Photography is my standard portrait fare while QuestionMark Photo is where I go off the rails a bit. If you like what you see, please reach out. Whether you have never modeled before or if you’ve been modeling for years does not matter. I would love to hear from you.

In Closing

I want to thank all of the amazing people who have been a part of my journey to date. You know who you are: models, photographers, makeup artists, fashion designers, business owners, and more. You rock! This includes the rockstar in the header image, the wonderful Julia Wagner. She is a great example of the sort of people who have helped keep my creativity stay afloat.
