I hear a rumor that the Christmas holiday is coming in a couple of days. I can’t be certain, but we have a tree and a bunch of gift-wrapped packages in the living room. I’m too lazy to check the calendar to be sure. Besides, I’m sure someone will wake me up in plenty of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year, I wish you the best. Just, please, let’s drop the “All-iday” moniker. I feel like it yucks everyone’s yum. Wish me a happy Hannukah, a blessed Kwanzaa, or a wonderful Winter Solstice. Whatever your jam, spread the joy. Just don’t water everyone’s season down with a bad, commercial hashtag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When The Long Holiday Ends<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I am fortunate to be in a career that allows me a longer holiday. It is a bit reminiscent of my school days when we got a couple of weeks away from the classroom. This year, I’m taking a couple of weeks off. I have no real plans other than “to not to”. When I go back to work, I’ll be back for just a bit before taking another week off. Then, well-rested and hopefully reinvigorated, I hope to start shooting a lot more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
