I will admit to not being highly knowledgeable in regards to the history of our northern neighbor. When I was young, I grew up in Canadian County, Oklahoma, a mere three or four miles from the Canadian River. Older and wiser (and a day late), I want to acknowledge the birth of Canada being celebrated. Canada was confederated on July 1, 1867. In truth, Canada was born well before, but this is the day on which the colonies of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick became the Dominion of Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My family had the distinct pleasure of visiting Canada while they celebrated the 150th Anniversary of Confederation. On Prince Edward Island, we took a walk through Charlottetown. There, across the street from a beautiful, large church, we meet two fine gentleman in deep, thoughtful conversation about the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
