I have a rough collection of old photos I took on film years ago that are largely landscapes. When I finally arrived in the digital age and started taking photography more seriously, I went right back to capturing scenery and added wildlife to the mix. Every time I go on vacation, I am reminded how much I enjoy these genres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In central Oklahoma, neither wildlife nor landscapes are readily available. At least, not in the sense of being able to see mighty beasts and witness breathtaking beauty just outside the door. Don’t get me wrong. Oklahoma is a beautiful place to live, especially if you enjoy wide open skies. However, to see “real” wildlife, you have to hop in a car and get out of the metro area. After visiting Yellowstone and Alaska, the trips are a bit further than that if you want more than simple beauty. Regardless, until I find a nice three bed, two bath home with an attached studio, I’ll be loving hanging my hat right where I am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I reflect upon my wildlife and landscape roots, I thought I would share a few images from the past. You may have seen one or two of these, but I know some are new. I did take the liberty to re-edit a couple. Over time, my eyes have changed and I prefer a different look.<\/p>\n\n\n
